TV manufacturers agree universal active 3D glasses standard

Now Samsung, Sony and Panasonic have teamed up in conjunction with Xpand – as they promised they would – to create one universal standard for active shutter 3D glasses that works across all their televisions. At last you can bring your own 3D glasses to your mate’s house. Any set made to this standard will have a shiny sticker certifying it – and all the rules that grant that sticker are available on a guidelines site, meaning other manufacturers can join in.”
